AusBiotech is pleased to confirm the site tours available to AusMedtech 2026 attendees on 19 May.

Remote operations in health and beyond

Tour time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Western Australia is the nation’s largest state and faces distinct challenges in delivering health care to regional and remote communities. These challenges have driven WA to become a leader in remote health operations, developing innovative solutions that support patients across vast distances.

This tour will explore:

  • The current systems and technologies used to deliver health services in regional and remote areas.
  • WA’s broader remote operations capabilities, including robotics and management of harsh‑environment operations.
  • Approaches to servicing remote Aboriginal communities.
  • Key companies contributing to remote health and remote operations innovation.
  • How emerging innovations can enhance and transform current service delivery.

You will visit the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Command Centre and the Australian Space Automation AI and Robotics Control Complex (spAARC). Following the site visits, speakers will deliver a presentation followed by a fireside chat

Meeting point: 11:30am at Crown Towers Perth.

Buses will return delegates to Crown Towers Perth between 4:00–5:00pm.

WA’s innovation ecosystem

Tour time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Discover Western Australia’s infrastructure and ecosystem that support Medtech organisations.

During this tour, you will:

  • Explore the QEII Medical Centre, one of the largest medical precincts in the Southern Hemisphere
  • Learn about future ecosystem infrastructure currently in development
  • Visit companies that have benefited from WA’s infrastructure and innovation ecosystem

On this tour you will visit the QEII Medical Centre and the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Meeting point: 11:30am at Crown Towers Perth.

Buses will return delegates to Crown Towers Perth between 4:00–5:00pm.
